Find Your Voice,
Ignite Your Power

Enrolling Grades 6-10

Albuquerque’s new high-quality, tuition-free, middle school.

Our Core Values

Our Approach

Voz Collegiate Preparatory Charter School equips all students in grades 6 through 8 with the 21st Century academic skills, professional habits, and personal voice they need to succeed in and graduate from the colleges of their choice.

At Voz Collegiate, we believe that to thrive in a digital world must you must be digitally literate. That’s why every scholar at Voz Collegiate takes Computer Science as a core subject, every year. Just as they are in the real world, Computer Science skills are also integrated throughout our math, literacy, social studies, and science courses at Voz Collegiate.

Computer Science Promotes Digital Literacy

At Voz Collegiate, we believe our humanity is found through our relationships with others. That is why we utilize weekly Compass Circles, a structured approach where scholars and teachers build trust with one another through face-to-face dialogue. This trust is the foundation for creating a highly successful learning environment.

Social Emotional Learning Bolsters Academic Success

At Voz Collegiate, we believe that when our scholars find their voice, they ignite their power. That is why all of our scholars take Speech and Debate and New Mexico influenced Music and Art courses. Possessing a solid foundation in oral literacy will help our scholars become successful readers and strong communicators as well as build their confidence and overall sense of well-being.

Oral Literacy Unlocks Doors for Students

At Voz Collegiate, we believe that professional habits are critical to our scholars’ social and academic success. That is why we warmly greet our scholars each morning with a firm handshake and extends throughout the school day. We help our scholars build the tools they need to be resourceful in a socially perceptive way, to innovate not just alone but with a group of peers, and to adapt as new situations inevitably arise.

Professional Habits are
Essential Skills

At Voz Collegiate, we believe that the road to college begins in 6th grade. We help our scholars develop personal portfolios with digital and hard copy materials of the social and academic work they have completed. Curating these portfolios helps our scholars cultivate the skills crucial to the research-based environment of higher learning. Demographics do not determine our scholars’ destiny.

Every Scholar Should Have the Chance to Go to College
